  • Studies show Downtown Spokane is the favorite shopping destination of 43% of those living in the primary and secondary regional trade areas. (Source: 2001 SRA Survey.)
  • Spokane’s primary market encompasses a 17-County region with 827,000 residents representing $23,381 in annual retail sales per household.
  • Spokane’s secondary market encompasses 36 counties with more than 1.7 million residents.
  • Demographic studies indicate Downtown Spokane shoppers are younger, with a higher household income, less price-sensitive and more brand-loyal than the general market. Twenty-five percent of the market have an annual income of $45,000 or higher.
  • Anchored by the 400,000-square-foot River Park Square and the Convention Center with its 100,000-square-foot expansion, Downtown’s retail core of one million square feet is concentrated within a pedestrian friendly, 30-block area.

World Class Shopping and Entertainment
Located in the heart of Downtown at Main and Post, River Park Square is a state-of-the-art retail and entertainment complex featuring national retailers like Nordstrom,The Gap, Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware as well as a 20-screen AMC Movie Theaters cinema complex.

Other recently completed projects in the retail core include Steam Plant Square, the historic Davenport Hotel, Big Easy 1,500-seat nightclub, the Montvale Boutique Hotel, and the Railside Center.
