– Arts in the Local Economy
From elegant evenings at Best of Broadway shows, to martinis, the Spokane Symphony and major sporting events, to the high energy of rock and roll, Downtown Spokane offers a complete range of cultural, sporting and entertaining events.
The Davenport District
The historic Davenport Hotel and the Bing Crosby Theater are at the heart of Downtown’s Davenport District, where visitors enjoy a more intimate cultural experience. The District is also the home of the art deco Martin Woldson Theater at the Fox, which after a $20 million renovation is home to the Spokane Symphony as well as another layer of cool live entertainment!
And More
You will also find the Knitting Factory Concert House Downtown along with Interplayers, the Magic Lantern Theatre, and the Spokane Civic Theatre. For the latest movies, River Park Square houses a 20-screen cinema complex with the most comfortable seats in town.
The Downtown Business Improvement District heightens activities throughout the year by bringing Downtown streets to life with a monthly First Friday event series and artwalk, summer and holiday horse and carriage rides and numerous holiday activities, including the annual First Night New Year’s Eve celebration.
