MAKING CENTS OUT OF PARKING…

Parking Downtown? No problem!

If you work Downtown or like to shop here often, the Business Improvement District (BID) has several alternatives to help you with parking. Did you know that there are more than 9,000 off-street parking spaces Downtown? Parking Downtown is accessible, available, and affordable.

The BID administers several parking programs that provide a great alternative to parking at meters. Click on the links below for a description of the parking programs that are overseen by the BID. If you have questions about parking Downtown or would like to involve your business in any of these programs, please contact Andrew Rolwes at 509-456-0580 ext. 109 or arolwes@downtownspokane.net.

EasyPark Validation

passesWhile you shop, dine, have fun, or utilize many of the services Downtown, participating Downtown businesses help pay for your parking by giving you an EasyPark validation whenever you make a minimum purchase. Validated EasyPark coupons are redeemable at Downtown parking facilities displaying an EasyPark sign. Validated EasyPark coupons are also redeemable for a free one-way ride on any Spokane Transit Authority (STA) bus.

CityTicket Park & Ride

cityticket

Do you work Downtown and pay too much to park? The Business Improvement District (BID) has an option for you. For only $30 per month with CityTicket, you can park at the Arena parking lot and receive a ride to and from Downtown. CityTicket is a partnership between the Spokane Transit Authority (STA), the Arena, and the BID.

The Plaza-Arena shuttle travels to the center of Downtown to the STA Plaza with many convenient stops along the way. During peak hours, the shuttle departs every few minutes with service every 20 minutes throughout the day. Parking is available Monday through Friday, plus on weekends if no events are scheduled at the Arena. In addition, your CityTicket pass is valid on the trolley during all service hours.

For more information on buying a CityTicket pass, call STA customer service at 328-RIDE (7433) or stop by the bus shop, second floor STA Plaza.

Premier Pass

premierpassFor Downtown businesses trying to find a way to thank customers by paying for part of their parking when a $1 off EasyPark coupon is not enough. The Business Improvement District (BID) has a program that can help you with this effort. It is called Premier Pass. This program allows businesses to pay up to two hours of your customers parking at participating garages (River Park Square, Bank of America). This is a separate program than the EasyPark validation program and cannot be combined.

Courtesy Parking Tickets

The next time that you get a ticket at a parking meter, there may be a surprise waiting for you instead. In conjunction with the City of Spokane, the City Parking Meter Department, and the Business Improvement District (BID), we have implemented a Courtesy Ticket program. The BID distributes 5,000 Courtesy Parking Tickets each year to create a positive experience for customers or visitors to Downtown who park at a meter. The cost of this program is paid for by the City and the BID. This is our way to say Thank You for visiting Downtown.

Bounce Back Coupons

bounce backThroughout the year, the Business Improvement District (BID) rewards Downtown shoppers and visitors with a Bounce Back coupon. How does this work? Come Downtown during the Holiday Season, Hoopfest, Back-to-School, or other selected major events in Downtown and park in any of the participating EasyPark garages and you will receive a Bounce Back coupon worth $1 off of your parking the next time you visit Downtown.
